Pianos should be tuned a minimum of every six months. Often they will need more that 2 per year, especially new pianos in their 1st year.

Dampp-Chasers

Freehold Music Center is pleased to offer the Dampp-Chaser system for your piano. This system, installed out-of-sight, maintains your piano at an average 42% humidity to keep the piano in tune longer and better. This system is composed of - the humidistat, the dehumidifier, the humidifier, an easy-fill watering tube, and a light panel.

String Covers

Freehold Music Center offers a variety of string covers for your grand piano. String covers completely cover the strings, soundboard, tuning pins, and plate. Some benefits of string covers:

  • reduce rust - by protecting the strings from moisture
  • improve tuning stability - moisture does not get to the soundboard
  • keep piano clean - dust and debris stay on top of the cover
  • improve benefits of humidity control system - keeps air contained around soundboard
