GrandTouch Pedals – New

The GrandTouch pedals in the latest CLP Series pianos offer a significant advancement from previous models by accurately replicating the resistance felt on the toes during pedal depression and the gradual decrease in resistance as the pedals are released, a distinctive feature of grand piano pedals.

This innovation allows for enhanced precision in pedaling technique and subtle adjustments in tonal expression.

Players can now easily maintain mid-stroke positions and control the pedals as they smoothly return to their original placement, resulting in a more nuanced and controlled performance.

GP Response Damper

The Yamaha CLP-885 also features a GP Response Damper that starts out light to the touch and grows heavier as it is depressed and the pedaling begins to take effect, just like on a grand piano. This gives players the physical feedback they need to master the delicate art of half-pedaling.
