The DGB1K ENCL is Yamaha’s entry point into the Disklavier world, a genuine GB1K baby grand with a self-playing system built in from the factory. The ENST takes everything the ENCL offers and adds a full dimension of musical capability. These instruments record and play back with complete fidelity, capturing not just the notes but the exact speed of every key attack and release, and every nuance of pedaling. The DSP servo feedback system and optical sensor technology work together to reproduce a performance as it was played, reading 128 levels of keying velocity, 128 levels of key release velocity, and 128 levels of incremental pedaling.
The ENST also includes Yamaha’s Silent Piano system, so you can practice in headphones and hear a binaural CFX concert grand at any hour. Available across baby grands, CX grands, and U Series and YUS Series uprights, there is an ENST model for virtually every Yamaha instrument on the floor.

The Disklavier ENSPIRE is the only piano that can truly reproduce every nuance of a piano performance, precisely recreating all of the details that other player pianos cannot. For example, a player’s key release timing controls the exact timing of each individual damper coming down on the string and contributes to the overall musical message that the pianist is trying to convey. Other player systems rely on predetermined programming to control the release of the piano keys, which results in every key releasing at the exact same speed during playback. This programming equates to half of the original performance being altered, which means half of the human element of the piano performance is removed.
