Yamaha B2 TC3 Piano Specs and Info The Yamaha B2 offers a larger cabinet and solid soundboard for a more powerful tone. It features a traditional “legged” design for a classic look and enhanced stability.
The Yamaha TC3 is an acoustic piano with a factory-installed TransAcoustic™ system. Unlike a standard silent piano, it features transducers that send digital vibrations into the piano’s actual wooden soundboard. This technology allows you to play digital sounds out loud without external speakers, adjust the volume of the instrument to a whisper, or layer the natural acoustic sound with digital voices like strings or choir.
The 88-note keyboard features a newly designed non-contact electromagnetic articulation sensor system. This system measures key travel speed, timing, and release to mimic exactly what the hammer would have been doing if it hit the string instead of the silent bar. To ensure precise musical control, the sustain pedal features a continuous detection optical sensor.
The Yamaha TC3 system features 12 built-in digital voices. The first two piano voices are the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand Piano. When using headphones, these voices utilize Binaural Sampling, which immerses the player as if they were sitting in front of the actual concert grand. The library includes the CFX and Bösendorfer Binaural samples, Upright Piano, Electric Pianos (Stage, DX, Vintage), Harpsichord, Celesta, Organs, Synth Pad and Strings.
The TC3 system allows for a wide range of connections for modern musicians. For wired devices, it includes 2 x mini stereo headphone jacks, USB to Host for MIDI/Audio data, and a USB to Device port for recording to thumb drives. For wireless use, Bluetooth Audio lets you play along with your favorite tracks, while Bluetooth MIDI allows for a seamless connection to the Yamaha Smart Pianist App.
Equipped with 20 different rhythm types that provide automatic accompaniment with percussion and bass. Simply set your tempo and start playing; the bass accompaniment automatically follows the key you are playing in to provide a full-band experience.
