CFX Innovations in a 5’8″ Grand

Yamaha redesigned the CX Series with many of the innovations of its flagship CFX. The C2X uses a spruce soundboard and ribs from the Kitami Mill in Hokkaido, supported by four Merkus pine back posts. Its hammers use the same felt as the CFX, adjusted to match the size of the instrument, for an expressive tone across the keyboard.

Built in Kakegawa

The C2X is crafted in Kakegawa, Japan, with a V-Pro frame from Yamaha’s Iwata Forge, a Tone Collector and a two-piece separated bridge. It has Ivorite white keys, a soft-close fallboard, a lid lock and single-wheeled solid brass casters. Pedals are damper, sostenuto and shift.
