The Yamaha C3X in Polished Ebony is a 6’1″ grand designed to resonate with the pianist. In creating the CX Series, Yamaha set out to build instruments that truly sing, and the C3X delivers that voice in a size that works for homes, teaching studios and performance spaces.

CFX Innovations in a 6’1″ Grand

Yamaha redesigned the CX Series with many of the innovations of its flagship CFX. On the C3X, the soundboard, ribs and bridge are glued using the techniques developed for the CFX, and the back frame is roughly 20% thicker than on other pianos. Four spruce back posts, a spruce soundboard and ribs, and hammers made with the same felt as the CFX combine for a full, rich tone.

Built in Kakegawa

The C3X is crafted in Kakegawa, Japan, with a V-Pro frame, a Tone Collector and a two-piece separated bridge. It has Ivorite white keys, a soft-close fallboard and single-wheeled solid brass casters.
