Crafted in Kakegawa

Yamaha builds the GC1M in Kakegawa, Japan, on the tradition of its C Series grands. The frame comes from Yamaha’s Iwata Foundry and uses V-Pro technology. The action is crafted in-house, and Yamaha artisans voice and regulate every piano. Yamaha also seasons the wood in each piano for the climate where it will live.

Keyboard, Pedals and Cabinet

The GC1M has 88 keys: acrylic resin white keys and phenolic resin black keys. Pedals are damper, sostenuto and shift. The lid has two prop positions and a safety stop, and the fallboard is soft-close. The Satin Ebony finish gives the cabinet a black with a soft satin sheen.
