The CLP is the core Clavinova line, redesigned in 2024, and it runs seven models. What separates them is the keyboard action, the cabinet, and the speaker system, in that order of importance.
The CLP-825 is the entry model. From there the range steps up through the CLP-835, CLP-845, CLP-875, and CLP-885, each adding to the action and the speaker system. The CLP-865GP and CLP-895GP are the grand-cabinet versions, which is a furniture decision as much as a musical one.
Every model comes in multiple finishes. All seven are on the floor here, and playing a CLP-825 against a CLP-885 is the fastest way to hear what the action is doing, which no specification sheet will tell you. Every new piano includes a bench.
