The Yamaha TA3 is an acoustic piano with a factory-installed TransAcoustic™ system. Unlike a standard silent piano, it features transducers that send digital vibrations into the piano’s actual wooden soundboard. This turns the entire instrument into a natural loudspeaker, allowing you to play digital sounds out loud at any volume or layer them with the acoustic strings for a cinematic performance.
The 88-note keyboard features a newly designed non-contact electromagnetic articulation sensor system. This system accurately interprets the musician’s keystrokes wirelessly to reproduce the music as if they were playing an acoustic instrument. Yamaha’s new proprietary algorithm delivers precision simulations in the pianist’s dynamic range, producing a digital tone that matches the nuance of your touch.
Every Ta3, Sh3 and Sc3 grand piano has a double notched jack that a padded bar catches while the piano is in full digital mode. This allows for the key to throw right while the mute bar is activated. Yamaha is the only silent piano that offers this amount of refinement of the piano action.
Grand Expression Modelling is a new feature that faithfully reproduces the tonal variation originating from the inner workings of the piano, such as the way the hammers strike and the dampers contact the strings in response to the player’s touch. This provides the player with the ability to explore subtle tonal nuances in real-time.
One of the great allures of an acoustic piano is the sympathetic resonance created by the vibration of the entire instrument. Yamaha’s further advanced Virtual Resonance Modeling technology elaborately reproduces this rich sympathetic resonance by adding tones that correspond to the timing and intensity of keystrokes and pedaling.
The Yamaha TA3 system features 25 built-in voices. The first two piano voices are the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand Piano. These voices feature Binaural Sampling which, when wearing headphones, immerses the player as if they were sitting in front of the actual concert grand. The library also includes Pop Grands, Ballad Grands, 18th-century Forte Pianos, Electric Pianos, Harpsichords, Organs, and Strings.

Built-in Bluetooth allows you to stream audio through the piano soundboard or connect to the Smart Pianist App for wireless MIDI control.
Equipped with 20 different rhythm types that provide automatic accompaniment with percussion and bass. Set the tempo, and the bass automatically changes to the key you are playing in. Features an optional Intro and Ending for each rhythm, and you can turn the bass accompaniment on and off as needed.
